Facing the unknown, I had to reimagine what the future looked like. What started as a daunting task turned into an opportunity to dream
again and build a life shaped by my passions, fulfillment, and the things that bring me real joy.
In 2016, I stepped away from a 28-year career in the dental field. It was a move I was hesitant to make, but ultimately took to focus on the evolving needs of our family. At the same time, we moved into our lake home full time. It was meant to be an exciting new chapter.
But two weeks after retiring, everything changed. My marriage ended unexpectedly, and the future I had pictured disappeared. I had just left a career I loved and felt like I was starting over in every way.
I took about a year and a half off to heal. There were family losses around that time as well, and it was a lot to process. Even so, I knew I wasn’t going to stay in that place. I’ve always found a sense of purpose and direction in my work, and I was ready to find that again.
Years earlier, when I had my son, Jake, I stayed home with him until he turned 2. During that time, I realized how much I missed working. Being a mom is everything to me, but I needed work that challenged me and allowed me to connect with others. That early experience taught me that I feel most fulfilled when I’m working toward something and helping people.
So when I was ready to return to work after the divorce, I wanted to be intentional. I needed a career that aligned with who I am and how I work best. I was looking for a way to connect with people, feel fulfilled, and build something meaningful of my own.
Real estate had been on my mind for years. I bought my first home at 24, and it turned out to be the smartest financial decision I ever made. We were able to keep moving up, building on our equity and growing financial security.
In 2018, I became a licensed REALTOR® and joined Fathom Realty, where a longtime friend of mine became my mentor as I got started. Real estate brings together my love of problem solving, personal connection, and the ability to really help people. I am able to use my psychology background, many years of client care, and my own life experience to support people in some of their biggest decisions.
Real estate has given me the chance to step in for people when life feels uncertain. Along with my extensive experience in helping first-time home buyers, relocation, and change in lifestyle clients, I also specialize in working with people facing loss, divorce, or unexpected change—situations where they don’t know where to begin. I help manage the process, bring direction, and keep things moving. I’m solution oriented, I stay calm, and I genuinely want to ease the stress wherever I can. That mindset has helped me earn trust and build lasting relationships, which is the part I value most.
This chapter of my life has given me real direction, purpose, and a future I’m excited about. I’ve built a business I’m proud of that reflects my values and the kind of service I believe in. I’ve grown in ways I didn’t expect, and I’ve truly found a passion in real estate. I have also started investing and managing Airbnb’s, which has furthered my knowledge and helped me plan for the future. Real estate is the best way to build wealth, and I want to help my clients realize and take advantage of the opportunities out there.
Relationships mean everything to me. Outside of work, I prioritize being with friends and family. And even though my son now lives in Arizona, we are closer than ever! I know what matters most to me, and I’m shaping my life in a way that honors that.
It’s important to me to surround myself with people who share my values but also challenge me to grow. That’s why I’ve stayed with Fathom Realty. The company is built on integrity and selects agents based on how they treat others, not just what they produce. I also lead a small,
collaborative team where each person brings a different strength—whether it’s marketing, design, or strategy. We support each other, share what we know, and make sure every client benefits from our combined experience. That environment has made me a better agent and business owner.
Where I shine most is in high-pressure situations. I’m a strong negotiator and a clear communicator, especially when clients are overwhelmed or unsure of what to do next. I’ve flipped homes, managed rentals and Airbnbs, and understand real estate as both a personal decision and a long-term investment. I’m hands on, whether that means staging homes myself and adding small touches to help a home shine or arranging work to be done and managing the details. I will show up 100% for you, helping protect your best interests and guide you through the process to ensure you have a great experience, and most importantly, achieve your goals!
Sincerely,

Cindy Moran
